HSM's seats traveled from the supplier's New Washington, Ohio, manufacturing plant to the Lion Bus facility in Quebec, Canada. They were installed in new school buses that got shipped back to an Ohio school district. HSM equips Lion buses with seating IC Bus offering Allison's FuelSense package IC Bus school buses are now available with FuelSense Basic in the Allison 1000 and 2000 series transmissions paired with either the Cummins ISB 6.7-liter engine or the MaxxForce DT engine. IC Bus now offers the Allison Transmission FuelSense fuel-effciency package standard on its IC Bus products. FuelSense is designed to automatically adapt shift schedules and torque to maximize transmission effciency based on load, grade and duty cycle without sacrifcing performance. According to internal test- ing conducted by Allison, FuelSense cuts fuel consumption by up to 20% depending on duty cycle and application, company offcials said. IC Bus school buses are now available with FuelSense Basic in the Allison 1000 and 2000 series transmissions paired with either the Cum- mins ISB 6.7-liter engine or the MaxxForce DT engine. The company will offer FuelSense Plus and Max as optional packages beginning in the spring of 2015. When students in Ohio's Bedford City School District climbed aboard three new Lion Bus school buses this school year, they sat on C.E. White standard school bus seats manufactured by HSM. HSM supplied the seats from its New Washington, Ohio, manufacturing plant to the Lion Bus facility in Quebec, Canada, where they were installed in new school buses before going full circle and getting shipped back to Ohio. Bedford City School District is the frst Ohio district to add buses from Lion Bus to its feet.
